On June 9, 2012 in Peoria, Illinois and again on June 16, 2012 in Springfield, Illinois, United Access sponsored the ALS Association’s Annual Walk to Defeat ALS. General Manager, Gerry Davis, and Mobility Specialist, Curt Schwanke brought a Wheelchair Accessible Van to demonstrate for ALS clients and walkers. “It was great to be out and support the ALS Association. I had a fun time visiting with ALS clients and supporters and also some of United Access’ customers,” said Schwanke.
Each walk brought out well over 300 attendees and raised a substantial amount in 
donations to help support ALS’ Vision – “Create a world without ALS”. Springfield, Illinois’ Mayor Houston even proclaimed June 16th as the official Day to Defeat ALS for the city! United Access had an amazing time at each walk and we look forward to supporting the ALS Association in the future!
